New Technologies Discussed at the 24th World Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi

The 24th World Energy Congress (WEC) was held in Abu Dhabi. The forum brought together 15,000 participants. "The World Energy Council has been one of the most authoritative discussion platforms on energy development for 95 years," emphasized Alexander Novak. "Russia has been actively participating in the Council's activities since its very first day. The best energy specialists from major Russian companies that power entire continents – PJSC Gazprom, PJSC Rosneft, State Corporation Rosatom, and others – constantly participate in the Congress sessions and the work of technical committees and working groups within the World Energy Council."

Innovations in the energy sector and related fields, globally encompassing industrial, digital, nuclear, and aerospace, became the central theme of the entire Congress and exhibition.

It was precisely innovative products and technologies that were the topic of the meeting between the General Director of the Industrial Technologies Center, Viktor Fokin, and the Executive Vice President of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Waleed Ali Ahmed Bin Salman. This meeting was a continuation of the dialogue with DEWA, which began with its head, Mohammed Al Tayer, in Moscow this summer. Work is already underway on a number of areas based on the results of the Moscow meetings. The progress of this work was also discussed with the leadership of companies involved by DEWA in the meeting in Abu Dhabi.

Already implemented projects and new innovative Energy Service programs, including in the field of digitalization, also sparked interest during negotiations with Majed Al-Qahtani, Head of the Strategic Planning Sector at the Saudi Electricity Company, and Mohammed K. Almubarak, Head of the Technical Support Sector at National Grid SA. Negotiations were also held with Schlumberger and the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority.
