Closed Construction Rope with Omega-shaped Wires.

The task set by one of the world's largest mining and metallurgical corporations, Norilsk Nickel, was the development, manufacture, and supply of special steel ropes with increased reliability and wear resistance. This task was successfully accomplished by the team at the Industrial Technologies Center.

The product was developed by the team at the Industrial Technologies Center of the Volgograd Plant in close collaboration with specialists from Norilsk Nickel PJSC. The rope underwent a full set of industrial tests and was commissioned for operation at the enterprises of Norilsk Nickel PJSC in 2003. It is used in mines at depths of up to 2,000 meters.

Service life doubled compared to similar products.

Technical Specifications: A rope with one layer of omega-shaped wires, one layer of wedge-shaped wires, and a TK (Triangular Wire Rope Core) type core. Manufactured from galvanized wire, it features:
A high metal fill factor in the rope's cross-section.
Minimal elastic and residual elongation during operation.
The ability of the outer shaped wires to retain their position within the rope even in case of a break.
