New Generation ANHS Aluminum Conductors

The combination of the new 6101-T4 alloy developed by RUSAL's R&D center and the design by IndTechCenter LLC has enabled the creation of an entirely unique (with 2 Russian patents and a German patent DE102014101833) Russian product:
ANHS conductor, successfully replacing standard AC conductor, with significantly better electromechanical characteristics.
The electromechanical characteristics of ANHS allow for optimization of the repair stock and reconstruction of overhead power lines.

ANHS conductor offers significant advantages:
· Despite having no steel core, the alloy and design provide greater mechanical strength than AC conductors of the same or even larger diameters;
· With the properties of the 6101-T4 alloy, unlike others, the increase in strength does not lead to a significant rise in electrical resistance;
· The design reduces ice accretion (maximum torsional rigidity);
· The conductor ensures a reduction in a whole range of load types on all elements of the overhead line;
· The conductor simplifies the problem of overhead line reconstruction without replacing old supports;
· It expands possibilities for new construction;
· The conductor and the "wire-fittings" system have passed certification tests.
